CFUW is a non-partisan, voluntary, self-funded organization with clubs in every province across Canada. Since it's founding in 1919, CFUW has been working to improve the status of women, and to promote human rights, public education, social justice, and peace. Clubs welcome all women who support the purposes, mission, and values of CFUW.

CFUW is the largest national federation member of Graduate Women International (formerly the International Federation of University Women), also founded in 1919, a leading girl's and women's organization run by and for women, advocating for women's rights equality and empowerment through access to quality education and training up to the highest levels. GWI has national federations and associations across the globe

CFUW in Alberta began in Edmonton in 1909 and expanded to Calgary in 1923. There are currently five clubs in Alberta: Edmonton, Strathcona County, Calgary, Calgary North, and Lethbridge & District. Learn more about the clubs in Alberta. Live outside of Alberta? find a club near you.
