International Women’s Day – CFUW Prairies Event

Patti Johnsen, CFUW VP Prairies, invites all CFUW members, guests, and the public to an event to mark International Women’s Day 2020. This event will be held in Lethbridge, Alberta but will be live-streamed to all attendees in Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba (and other locations if you are travelling at this time and want to participate). The event will be a speaker, Lisa Lambert, who will speak on the topic “Not All Women: Who is still missing from politics”. This presentation will be followed by a Q&A period that everyone (including those online) can participate in.

  • Cost: $0 FREE

  • When: February 29, 2020 1-3pm Alberta time (2-4pm Saskatchewan and Manitoba time)

  • Where:

    • Event will be held at 2329 15 Avenue South, Lethbridge, Alberta

    • Event will be live-streamed to attendees, live-stream will be active from 12:30-3pm AB time (1:30-4:30pm SK/MB time), live-streaming instructions will be posted here at a later date

    • Your local club may be booking a room for those that want to view the live-stream with other club members and may be inviting the public to join them. Contact your local club to join them. Below we will list the locations of where local clubs have booked rooms to watch the live-stream event.

International Women’s Day is March 8, 2020. The International Women’s Day 2020 campaign theme is #EachforEqual.  The Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.
