International Women’s Day – CFUW Prairies Event

Patti Johnsen, CFUW VP Prairies, invited all CFUW members, guests, and the public to an event to mark International Women’s Day 2020. This event was be held in Lethbridge, Alberta and was live-streamed to all attendees in Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba (and other locations for those participating outside the prairies). The event was a speaker, Lisa Lambert, who spoke on the topic “Not All Women: Who is still missing from politics”. This presentation was followed by a Q&A period that everyone (including those online) participated in. This event was held on February 29th during the day and many prairie clubs booked rooms to share the presentation with other club members and the public. 

International Women’s Day is March 8, 2020. The International Women’s Day 2020 campaign theme is #EachforEqual.  The Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.
