
We are a member club of the national Canadian Federation of the University Women (CFUW) which is a non-partisan, voluntary, self-funded organization with over 100 clubs across Canada. As members of CFUW, we are also members of our provincial council, Graduate Women International (GWI) and International Alliance of Women (IAW). For more information click here.
CFUW Strathcona County was founded in 1988. As a group we meet to:

We are a small club that provides:
• Excellent monthly speakers on a wide range of topics chosen by the members
• A network that empowers women through education and social justice
• Social opportunities at meetings and through our “Out to Lunch Bunch” luncheon group
• Support for A Safe Place which is our local shelter for women fleeing domestic abuse.

Membership
Membership is open to all women who support the objectives of:

Seeking equal opportunities for women and girls
-
Promoting education and social justice for women
A university degree and/or Strathcona County residency is not required. Members from other CFUW clubs are welcome to join us.
Our membership officially starts in July, but since we do not meet during the summer, members pay their dues in September. Dues for the year are:

$100 for regular membership

$50 for student membership
-
$25 for dual membership (for members who have paid full dues to another CFUW club)
